Hi All,

I'm evaluating Umbraco to power a community site that i run, as well
as any future web work i do for my freelance clients.

The learning curve is something i'm a little worried about, as there
seems to be little documentation, and also I dont know xslt or xml
very well. any suggestions as to the best way to overcome the
learning curve quickly and painlessly?

re: my community site.. what i would really like is a good solid
platform on which i can either build custom apps (music database,
articles, newsletter, etc), or integrate existing apps (community
server for blogs, forums, gallery), etc.

How difficult is it to integrate my own custom apps into an umbraco
site?

And what about integration of other scripts, like community server -
has this been done before? If it has, then that would be a HUGE
bonus and probably the clencher for me. :)

hope to hear some advice soon. amd hoping umbraco is the cms for me..
i've tried dotnetnuke (horrible horrible cms) and mambo/joomla (great
but not .net). but hearing lots of rave reviews about umbraco so
definitely interested to check it out properly

Cheers
Greg
